Founded in 1992 and serving Nassau, Suffolk, and the greater New York metropolitan area, Suffolk Safety Program offers the National Point and Insurance Reduction Course (New York State Department of Motor Vehicles approved) accident prevention workshop, making it easy for you to save money and drive safely. The course is open to all drivers. This is a classroom workshop, and there is no test or actual driving involved.
The workshop provides insight on attitude and its effects on your driving; drugs & alcohol, driving techniques, vehicle & traffic laws, seat belts, road rage, etc. The workshop is six hours in duration, and may be taken in either a 6-hour or two 3-hour formats. (See Class Schedules)
Upon completion, you are entitled to:
1. 10% reduction on your liability, no fault, and collision premiums for 3 years.
2. Up to 4 point reduction from your driving record for points accumulated in the past 18 months.

The NYS Driver Record Website, where, for a fee, you can obtain a record of all information and violations on your driver's license.
Also included on the FAQs & Links page is a link to NHTSA (the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration) This site provides access to recall and TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) information on your vehicle. These are the problems recognized by the auto manufacturers, but not publicized. Protect yourself by finding out now what may be a potentially dangerous problem with your vehicle!
You will also find two links which provide free crash data on virtually every vehicle. Check the crashworthiness of your vehicle, and especially any new or used car or truck you may consider purchasing!
